Why is the government taking away the people’s rights?

I'm 53 years old, I'm not a kid. It’s the kids that are dying in this damn war, so why are they doing it, if not for our freedom and rights?

This is another one of Louisiana at it's best,when it come down to you
knowing what is happening you have to look and see what is going on
the law makers like to take away your rights but when it comes to taking away your taxes you don't see them doing that,when you need them they look for way to get
out of helping you.
just to let ya'll know I'm talking about I got floodied for hurricane Rita 3 years later I got floodied for Hurricane Ike we didn'tg get much help for Hurricane Ike
no body came and help us what is going on with this.
can anybody shine some light on this.
